Landlords

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)

Under UK Law and from April 2020 all privately rented properties must have a minimum energy efficiency performance rating of an E or above on an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). If a landlord breaches this, then there could be a civil penalty imposed of up to £5000 by the courts. The government are looking to lift these minimum ratings to a D by 2025 and a C by 2030.

If your property doesn’t have an EPC or it has expired, please don’t worry as our team can carry out a FREE no obligation assessment to see what you could qualify for. Even if the property is at an EPC rating of a E – please still get in touch with us to see if there are any other eligible grants we could provide!

So if you are a private landlord and the property has been rented out and the person is claiming qualifying benefits – please don’t hesitate to contact us to by filling out our quick and simple form here and see if your home qualifies under the Government’s Eco 4 scheme.
